Three typical Czech restaurant tips in Prague

There are hundreds of restaurants in Prague and then it is often difficult to choose. Are you going to eat in the middle of the city on the busy Old Town Square or on Wenceslas Square, Or would you rather look for the Prague cosiness among the cozy locals. There is plenty of choice in terms of restaurants in Prague and you can enjoy all kinds of cuisines. Of course the traditional Czech Bohemian cuisine, but also Italian or Chinese. Be aware that the price can also vary greatly in busy places, because you really pay twice as much compared to a cozy place just outside the center. In this blog I introduce you to three cozy restaurants with real Czech Bohemian cuisine. 1. U Pivrnce Address: Maiselova 60/3 110 00 Praag 1 (Josefov, joodse wijk) U Pivrnce is a cozy and cozy restaurant in the middle of the Jewish quarter (Josefov) in Prague. It is not very big but very cosy. what is particularly striking is the strip-like decoration of the entire restaurant if you see it at first glance, your expectations are not very high, but the food they serve is really typical Czech and Bohemian and the quality of it is really very good. I don't think I've ever had a better meal anywhere in Prague than at U Pivrnce. The restaurant is normally also located at another location (unfortunately that location is closed at the time of writing) but unfortunately I have never been there. Despite the fact that the restaurant is located in the center of the city, the prices are also very reasonable. They also have an extensive beer list, so you can't go wrong for a good "Pivo". There is only one drawback, the restaurant does not have a terrace, so in the summer when the weather is nice, it is unfortunately blown indoors.

2. Restaurant Svateho Vaclava Address: Václavské náměstí 821/39, 110 00 Praha 1 (aan het Wenceslausplein)

Slightly more expensive than restaurant number one because of its location in the middle of Wenceslas Square, but a really cozy restaurant is Svateho Vaclava. Nowhere else can you find more real Czech Bohemian specialties on the menu than in this restaurant. Especially in the summer it is very cozy because then you can enjoy yourself on the cozy terrace in the middle of Wenceslas Square. It is also very cozy inside, so it is also a great choice for your dinner in winter. On the menu you will find dishes such as goulash, pork ribs, pork or duck with sauerkraut.

3. Restaurant Andel Address: Nádražní 60/114, 150 00 Praha 5-Smíchov, Tsjechië And last of the three also a really cozy restaurant. You will find restaurant Andel right opposite Metro station Andel. In the Smichov district, which is just outside the touristic city, you will find the Czechs themselves and I think that makes the atmosphere very pleasant. The atmosphere is completely different from the two aforementioned restaurants. In the summer you can sit outside on the beautiful courtyard and in the winter it is wonderful to stay inside. You can also play a game of bowling in the basement. The menu is diverse and includes some real Czech Bohemian delicacies. It is always a pleasure at restaurant Andel.
