Looking for restaurants in Prague is always a challenge. In Prague you can often find the tastiest food in the most unlikely places. You sometimes walk past buildings that look so dusty that the building is not yet boarded up. During a walk in the Vinohrady district we made a really nice discovery of a restaurant that is so far in the top 5 of the best restaurants we know in Prague. We were on our way from Náměstí Míru to Jiřího z Poděbrad and on the way we suddenly felt hungry so we just randomly went in somewhere. This was the Sokolovna restaurant, something you would normally walk past really quickly. We looked at the menu and immediately saw some typical specialties in addition to some grill specialties, for example. We ordered the MORAVSKÝ VRABEC 200g (1,3,7,12) for only 209 Kč. Afterwards we really thought how could it be possible for this amount of money. The dish consisted of pork cubes slowly cooked in gravy, complimented with onion, potato dumplings and sauerkraut.Highly recommended!
