Personally, I like nothing better when I'm in Prague to wander on the Petrin hill. But what exactly is Petrin Hill? The Petrin Hill is a hill of 327 meters high in the middle of the city of Prague in the Mala Strana district. There is a lot to do on the hill, you can take beautiful walks, visit the mirror maze or you can take a trip up the Petrin Tower.
To get to the top of the hill you can take a nice walk through a winding road. Halfway you may come across a restaurant where you can rest for a while. People who don't feel like walking or people who have difficulty walking can use the funicular. If you have a 24-hour or 78-hour ticket for Prague public transport, you can get on at the stop in the Ujezd valley, otherwise you can also buy a ticket there for CZK 60.
About the Funicular:
The Petřín Funicular is a funicular railway in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, that runs from the historic district of Malá Strana to the Petřín Lookout Tower, on top of Petřín Hill. The railway is 510 meters long and bridges a height difference of 130 meters. The line has three stops: Újezd, Nebozízek and Petřín.
The funicular railway was inaugurated in 1891, the same year as the Petřín Lookout Tower, and then had a length of 383 meters. The funicular railway was closed at the outbreak of the First World War. It would not be put back into service until after the war. The current longer funicular has a length of 510 meters and was inaugurated in 1932. A subsidence in 1965 caused an interruption in services. The funicular would not reopen until 1985, with new wagons and new tracks.

The Petrin Tower (Czech: Petřínská rozhledna) is a kind of replica of the Eiffel Tower from Paris and according to the inhabitants of the city, their tower is higher than the one in Paris. Although the tower is only 60 meters high, this is correct because the tower is on a high hill and the highest point is therefore higher above sea level.
The tower was built in 1891 and was initially used as an observation tower and transmission tower. The watchtower is a tourist attraction of Prague. Close to the tower is the Palace of Mirrors (Bludištì).
A museum about the fictional person Jára Cimrman has been set up on the bottom floor of the tower.
It is always fun on the hill, especially when the weather is nice. Everywhere in the parks on the hill you can sit down on a bench. Many also lay out their picnic blanket. It's always fun on the Petrin hill!
